As we celebrate Juneteenth in 2025, Ujima National Center for Violence Against Women in the Black Community in partnership with Vincent Strategies, invites you to take a stand for justice.
We are using Juneteenth for the launch of an ambitious campaign to ensure Ujima has the necessary resources to continue its advocacy work combatting violence against Black women and girls. With changes in federal funding, it is imperative that Ujima can continue its decade-long efforts providing a culturally specific lifeline of advocacy, healing and hope for Black women and girls.
Today on Juneteenth, we are celebrating a day of freedom but also reflecting on the fact that freedom for many Black women and families is cut short due to domestic or community violence. We ask you to stand with us today and recognize that Black survivors need more than awareness, they deserve sustained investment. It is our Juneteenth for Justice.
“As we celebrate a decade of service, we also face a sobering reality: without sustained investment, our future—and the futures of the survivors we support—is at risk. This Juneteenth, we ask our community to help fund what’s next. We’ve been here. We’re still here. And with your support, we will continue to be a force for safety, healing, and justice.”
